Tony Parmee
Euro Truck - Eiffel Tower - H.M.S. Nausea |
Tony Parmee joining us for the second time, had brought the 'Eurotruck' and Trailer, all built from the contents of a No. 10 set (see Modelplans 99, Articulated Lorry, by Tony Parmee). The unit, being motorised, moved the tractor and trailer, then with the trailer brakes on drew away and left the trailer. The unit then reversed to collect the trailer as per original.
Tony's second model - a 7 ft. plus Eiffel Tower, a very nice model with lifts operating (compare with Meccano Model 10.14/1954).
In the base of the tower H.M.S. NAUSEA was rocking and rolling trying to encourage sea sickness and nearly succeeding. |

Trevor Franklin
Magic Mangle - Magic Boiler - Small Vessel
Trevor Franklin spent Sunday with us and proceeded to mystify us with his Magic Mangle and Magic Boiler. He had the public and club members in fits of laughter by producing £5 and £10 notes from a mangle by inserting plain sheets of paper. The Boiler, mystifying - has to been seen to beleived, and the patter that Trevor has would do justice to any professional illusionist. Thanks Trevor for another side of the hobby. |
